Wines of Croatia is a wine marketing and promotion project founded in March 2007 by Cliff Rames, an American of Croatian descent who is a Certified Sommelier in New York City.

The primary mission of Wines of Croatia is to support, coordinate, initiate and/or conduct ongoing educational and promotional activities that raise awareness, expand appreciation and consequently increase demand for Croatian wine in the U.S. and other key international markets (see our Mission page for more details).  

More than just a useful resource, the Wines of Croatia website, Blog, Facebook, and Twitter pages are places where you can go to linger awhile - a “konoba” (traditional Croatian wine cellar) of sorts, where you can grab a virtual glass and hold it up, filling it with delicious gulps of information, images and stories that pay homage to the wines, grapes and wine producers of Croatia - dispensed with loving grandfather hands from a timeless wooden barrel….
